Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 5682, to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline with a bipartisan vote of 252-161. The bill would put an end to the lengthy and unnecessary delay of the project that has gone on for over six years. Congressman Steve Pearce released this statement in response to the passage of the bill:

"After six years of stalling by this administration and Senate democrats, it is time for the President and Harry Reid to remove politics from the decision and approve the Keystone XL Pipeline," said Congressman Steve Pearce. "This bill will provide shovel ready jobs for Americans, and will increase American energy independence while strengthening our national security. I urge my colleagues in the Senate to act on this important piece of legislation before the end of this Congress."
